Camphor
Camphor, Cinnamomum Camphora (Camphor) Bark Oil
The camphor (Ravintsara) from the laurel family is native to China and Japan. The oil from its leaves, the Ho-leaves, is antibacterial and strengthens the connective tissues in your skin. In aromatherapy, it is relaxing, harmonizing and calming.
Camphor oil, the oil from the wood of this tree is a stark antiseptic and is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing. It promotes blood circulation and works especially well for treating acne, and also prevents muscle pain.
In aromatherapy, this oil is anticonvulsant, tonic and mood enhancing. It stabilizes the emotions and helps overcome inner weakness. Camphor should be avoided by pregnant women, people with high blood pressure, children and epileptics!
