Description
Uses: This allspice berry essential oil from Biopark comes from India and is suitable for freshening the air in a nebuliser.
It is obtained by steam distillation of allspice berries. The oil has a light, yellow colour and a warm, fresh, spicy fragrance. It has warming and toning properties, which is why it is also highly recommended mixed with a carrier oil for massages.
Blends well with: Ginger, Geranium, Lavender, Orange, Patchouli, Ylang Ylang.
Interesting facts: Allspice is an evergreen tree that originally comes from India, but also grows in South America. It grows up to 10 metres high. When this tree is three years old, it begins to bear fruit, which has two kidney-shaped seeds and turns black when ripe. The flavour of allspice is reminiscent of a mixture of cloves, juniper berries, cinnamon and pepper and is widely used in Indian and Mediterranean cuisine.
Caution: Only use in small doses. May irritate skin and mucous membranes. Do not use during pregnancy!
