CMD Naturkosmetik Potassium Sorbate

Potassium (potassium salt of sorbic acid) is water soluble and easy to use. Due to its blocking effect on the metabolic enzymes of yeasts and molds, it acts as a good preservative. However, it is not antibacterial, which is why a combination with alcohol is recommended.

Optimally, potassium sorbate is best incorporated at a bit above room temperature and if necessary, the pH level can be corrected with lactic acid.
Caution: The product loses its preservative effect with a pH above 5!

Dosage:

• Granulate: 0.2% (0.1 g to 50 g emulsion, dissolve in water)
