Le Erbe di Janas Plant-based Glycerin

Glycerin is a colourless, viscous liquid that is soluble in water and alcohol, but insoluble in fatty oils. It is the most commonly used humectant in cosmetics and is well tolerated by the skin. It also serves as an excellent preservative in high concentrations. Its ability to bind moisture in the skin and thus enable good hydration also facilitates the absorption of active ingredients into the skin.

Application:

• As a cosmetics additive for
  • the hair: particularly beneficial for curly, dry and brittle hair in combination with creams or conditioners. Use sparingly as excessive use can have the opposite effect and could dehydrate the hair.
  • the skin: protects the skin from drying out and promotes regeneration. Always use it in conjunction with a moisturiser.
• The application is recommended for particularly dry and cracked heels. Apply the product to the affected areas before going to bed.
