Clary Sage
This plant comes from the mint family and is native to Asia Minor, North Africa, Russia and Southern Europe. In skin care, it isĀ astringent and sweat-regulating. It has anti-bacterial, antiseptic, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Clary sage is particularly suitable for personal care products for acne and inflamed skin but is also usefulĀ in hair care for hair loss and dandruff. It is alsoĀ anti-aging and anti-wrinkle.Ā ItĀ ideal for use in deodorants, but also generally hasĀ very good skin care properties.
In aromatherapy, it is relaxing and tonic, but also strong and euphoric, inspiring and mood enhancing. It relieves anxiety and depression, helps with menopausal symptoms and calms hyperactive children. In puberty crises, itĀ can provide balance.
It should not be used during pregnancy orĀ combined with iron-containing drugs.
