Clary Sage

This plant comes from the mint family and is native to Asia Minor, North Africa, Russia and Southern Europe. In skin care, it is astringent and sweat-regulating. It has anti-bacterial, antiseptic, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties. Clary sage is particularly suitable for personal care products for acne and inflamed skin but is also useful in hair care for hair loss and dandruff. It is also anti-aging and anti-wrinkle. It ideal for use in deodorants, but also generally has very good skin care properties.
In aromatherapy, it is relaxing and tonic, but also strong and euphoric, inspiring and mood enhancing. It relieves anxiety and depression, helps with menopausal symptoms and calms hyperactive children. In puberty crises, it can provide balance.
It should not be used during pregnancy or combined with iron-containing drugs.
